Orkney Dance and Fitness offer Group Exercise Classes, One to One Services, Private Bookings for Schools/Charities etc, Birthday Parties, Hen Parties and Small Group Training. Donna is experienced and holds the relevant Qualifications, Insurance and Memberships for all she offers.

Lengthen, strengthen, align and tone your body with ballet and Pilates inspired exercises on the floor.  No ballet or dance experience required! 

Traditionally, ballerinas take floor barre classes to better understand their alignment and improve their dancing skills. It's also used for ballerinas in recovery from injuries. Doing these exercises on the floor improves posture and body awareness in turn improving any work done standing.

It's also great for people with injuries and the elderly or anyone else who doesn't have great balance! 

 

You also do not need a lot of equipment. A yoga mat is advised for comfort, a theraband to assist with stretching and a yoga block to help with a neutral posture. But none of these are essential.

Boogie Bounce is a complete exercise programme performed on a mini trampoline with Patented T-Bar Handle. The programme consists of a highly effective H.I.I.T cardio section followed by a toning section, working bums, tums and thighs. Every muscle in the body is worked, even the FACIAL MUSCLES!

You can also develop both upper and lower body strength just as effectively as weight lifting without the strain or threat of pulled or torn muscles.

This exercise class combines cardiovascular activity and muscle strengthening exercises, plus flexibility and balance work, specifically designed for the active older adult.

 

Exercise is one of the best things older adults can do to stay healthy, fit and active. Even moderate activity can help you to stay mobile, independent and strong.

We use a variety of equipment to help us achieve our goals such as thera bands, ankle weights and dumbbells.

The sweat will be dripping in this fully packed 30-minute workout. With 20 minutes of sassy dance choreography, followed by 10 mins of pure floor booty & ab exercises you will finish feeling utterly amazing and perfectly toned!

Mat required, Bands supplied or available to purchase your own for £20 (pack of 3 resistance levels).

A NIGHT OUT TO YOUR WORKOUT!

Clubbercise® is a fun full body workout with a banging soundtrack that gets great results. One session burns around 600 calories. 

The routines combine dance, toning and combat moves with options to suit all fitness levels. We use Club classics from the 90's onwards.

 

Classes are held in a darkened room with disco lights, UV lighting and LED Glowsticks.

A Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi and Dance inspired class set to relaxing music.

With Flow we will work on balance, core, posture, flexibility and relaxation.

Performed both standing and on the floor, please bring a yoga mat with you to class for your comfort.

Leave the class fully relaxed, stretched and de-stressed.

Step Aerobics

Step aerobics is an up-tempo way to get your heart pumping and stay fit.

Doing this choreographed cardio workout as part of a group exercise class can help build motivation and create a sense of community.

Step aerobics has all the benefits of a high-intensity cardio workout without putting stress on your joints. It improves overall fitness by building strength, reducing fat, and boosting your cardiovascular health. 

The moves target your legs, upper body, and core, building strength and flexibility. They also improve your balance, coordination, and agility.

And of course IT'S FUN!!
